Introducing Dafte, a Belgian artist currently living in Wortegem. From an early age, he developed a love for painting. To hone his craft, Dafte took formal training in oil painting techniques and refined his skills in faux-marble and faux-wood finishes.

Yet, as his ardor for the brush and canvas flourished, Dafte's artistic curiosity led him to explore the medium of wood. Inspired by ancient totems, he embarked on the creation of a totem sculpture. Years later, he revisited this concept with a desire to create a three-dimensional painting. Within these captivating artworks, one can discover figures and symbolic imagery, forming a profound connection to the intricately carved figures found in authentic totems.
